My son & I enjoy spending time outdoors; hiking, camping, caving, sailing, ice skating etc. I wanted to join specifically to attend events that would be ideal for my son to attend. Climbing w/ "little creatures" in Rock Town caught my attn.
Hiking, backpacking, camping, caving, sailing- Activities in which myself & my 5 y.o. can attend tog. as a family. We enjoy ice skating & have just started climbing indoors (whew! we are a long way from being fantastic, but we're enjoying learning)
So far.... Foster Falls and Cloundland Canyon in TN. Hanging Rock in NC.
Caving with a 4 y.o.
Any place outdoors where I can "get away" and turn off my phone !
I found the group on Meetups looking for groups to hike with and attend other outdoor activities.

Hello,
You are about 160 miles from the start of the NC Mountains-to-Se
a Trail (MST) at Clingman's Dome NC. It traverses 1000 miles of scenic NC to Nag's Head Outer Banks NC at Jocky Ridge State Park. To date, 27 hikers have "thru-hiked" the 1000 miles. Perhaps some day Nason will wish to follow in their footsteps and be a Thru-Hiker of the NC MST!
