I am a community instigator, healthy, happy mother of an exuberant 10 year old boy, lover of Chattanooga and the geography of this area. I'm ready to get involved in anything that includes breathing in fresh air, laughter, communion and adventure
bicycling, anything outdoors, cross-country skiing, hiking, camping, paddling, adventure... sailing, windsurfing
Joyce Kilmer, Boundary Waters, Okefenokee Swamp, The Cairns of Loughcrew, on a sailboat anywhere. Portugal...
a trip alone... to Club Med at barely 18
Cedar Hill Meadow just as the sun is rising
happy accidents still happen

Fantastic! I'll make a note of it so that you and your guest get places for the session. So plan on it! I think you'll have loads of fun.
The hike will be around 3 miles. There is camping at DeSoto State Park. It can accomodate whatever style of camping that you like. You should go to the DeSoto Scout Trail Facebook page to learn more about what's going on with the trail. My good friend and fellow ranger, Shawn Waddell, fronts that project and he is a pretty cool guy to boot.
Caara, I really hope that you and your son can come to the events. We're going to be doing some trail maintenance on the DeSoto Scout Trail this Saturday. Also we have loads of events scheduled during the week of July 25-30th that are free to the public. We are going to have a Meet & Greet at the Little River Canyon Center on the evening of the 25th from 5-7pm with a pottery demonstration. So please come with your son.
Thanks Caara! The camera was in my bag, I'll take it out next time when I get to the top...
Hey Caara, I did walk rather fast down that mountain. Not fast enough to beat your kids though! I am not as familiar with the sustainability efforts in the city of detroit as much as I should since I grew up in the suburbs. However, this site seems to have some places that might be of interest: http://sustainabledetroit.org/?page_i...![]()
Let me know how trip goes.
Hey I wont be able to make it Sat. but you guys have a great time ;)
Glad you could make it out with us after the hike this week. You should join us more often! :)
Caara... give me a "jingle" when time permits! Thanks Susan
