The National Park Service in this area usually doesn't have mid-day hikes. Although, the hike on Saturday will start at 10 am. You might have better luck with DeSoto State Park. If I hear of anything I will let you know.

I just mean that it's not really necessary to carpool from there unless folks simply just don't want to drive their cars up and back down the mountain again. It's like 2 miles from BiLo to the top of the mountain and then maybe another 3 miles or so to the parking lot -- a real easy drive, IMO, but I am used to driving it all the time by now too. It's your choice as well as the folks that may want to carpool with you from there.
